Veneers are designed to fit over the front surface of a tooth to improve its colour and shape, or to close a gap in the smile. Often, they are also used to replace lost enamel or strengthen weak teeth.
About porcelain veneers
The porcelain covers the entire front surface of the tooth, with a slightly thicker section covering the damaged area. We use porcelain for our veneers as it is a very durable material and creates a natural aesthetic, so you won’t be able to distinguish it from the rest of your natural teeth.
Veneers treatment at Wayside
Veneer treatment at Wayside Dental Practice usually takes two sessions. During the first visit we will prepare your tooth and create an impression to send to the technician, so they can work on creating your new veneer. Our technician is skilled in getting the best colour and shape matches possible and you will have the opportunity to visit our technician to help him with this. At your second appointment, your brand new veneer will be bonded in place with a special adhesive to secure it to the tooth.
Veneers are designed to last for many years, making them a brilliant solution for chipped, discoloured or weakened teeth.
